Our favorite time of the year is here! The time to Unravel Your Year ahead. Aside from all of the holiday shopping, gift wrapping and card writing, there’s nothing better than wrapping up the year with gratitude and completion as we begin to brainstorm and clarify what it is we want to see manifest in the new year. Wherever focus goes, energy flows!
One of my favorite end of the year rituals is to take an evening or two to do the following: take a nice long bath, get into some comfy cashmere and warm slippers, pour a relaxing cup of tea, light the fire place and a beautiful candle, put on some relaxing music, pull out my favorite crystals and pens, gather my oracle/Angel cards, light some Palo Santo to cleanse myself and space, watch my fluffy kitties play, nestle into my comfy alpaca blanket, and set my intentions – to reflect on this year and everything I’ve been through, to feel complete before beginning a new chapter and envisioning with clarity what I want this new chapter to look like.
This is a true ritual that guides the year ahead. Each year that passes is a year to be ended in honor and gratitude. There are so many lessons we have gone through as well as pleasures. It’s important to reflect upon them and bless them, for they have shaped who you are and have become. The end of the year is a closing and a beginning all in one. To feel complete allows us to live in the present and stop wishing we did more. If it’s meant o be, everything happens in due time.
This ritual allows us to re-commit, re-prioritize and set new visions and intentions. It gives us an opportunity to cut our losses and not bring guilt into the new year. For the past three years, I have been doing Susannah Conway‘s Unravel Your Year. She is amazing and so generous to make these beautiful PDF workbooks for us to enjoy. Go to her page, enter your email and get the PDF delivered straight to your mailbox. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
