I don’ t mean to get holy on you but with all things holy – one cannot forget about the holy water! I was born in a country that is one of the oldest countries we know with springs that are gems hidden in every crevice. That country is Bulgaria. Not too far away I am sitting in a country that has a thermal spring down the road, another water country surrounded by water, maybe you’ve heard of it? The up and coming, beautiful Portugal.
Portugal seems to be whispered from almost everyone’s lips in all corners of the world. Could be good, could be scary. As Westerners continue to forge ahead with their ideas and ambitions, let’s pray that this country stays as clean, beautiful and preserved as it is now. Portugal is super eco so high hopes for the future here! My husband and I bought a home here and we are launching a Super Human Earth (SHE) Healing Retreat B&B in Portugal 2020. Stay tuned Indigo Insiders, we are planning life-altering healing events for you.
NOW, BACK TO HOLY WATER!
Holy water is water that has been sanctified by a priest for the purpose of baptism, the blessing of persons, places and objects, or as a means of repelling evil. I’ve been using Holy Water for as long as I can remember. Every time I visit Bulgaria or my grandmother comes to visit us in the U.S., we bring a jar of Holy Water blessed by a priest from a church in Bulgaria. I transfer it over to my little blue glass spray bottle and spray my energy field daily. When the water decreases, I refill it with distilled water. After a while it becomes homeopathic holy water until the next visit.
WHY DO I NEED TO KEEP MY ENERGY CLEAN?
We work with people all day long, we shake their hands and hug them (physical contact), we listen to their stories, stresses and ailments (mental), and we hold a safe container for their heartaches to be told (emotional). This energetic exchange, especially in the healing professions, takes a toll even on the most spiritual of people. Ultimately, when we clear our energy and space, we are cleansing ourselves from energy that becomes dense, stagnant or stuck. The more we clear our energy, the better we are able to listen, read in between the lines and follow our intuition.
When you come home from work after a long day of interactions and mingling, sit yourself in front of your altar and cleanse your energy. Wash your face, brush your teeth, take a shower and sink into bed with clean vibes. It does’t have to be a full on production- just a few minutes to spray some holy water over your head, give thanks for the lessons and gifts of the day, light your Palo Santo, take in a few deep breaths and move on.
